This place was outstanding. I can't get over how much we enjoyed this place. The grounds were well cared for - it was apparent that management had made the investment in maintaining the place. The pool was great, with the bartender serving generous cocktails. The restaurant was outstanding, the golf course was exceptional, one of the nicest I've seen. The rooms were quaint, and had charm, and plumbing that functioned very well for an older property. One was never a few steps away from one of the many pools on the property. The service was terrific, especially the bell staff, who greeted us, and got us oriented. Exercise facility was top notch, and spacious. We were alloted a Casita. After we requested a pool side room we were given a deluxe Casita. AC and toilet flush were not working. On complain it was fixed quickly. Overall recommended.

Nice spread out property that was good for families and couples alike. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was sold out so we were surprised to receive an upgrade to a room with a private patio. La Quinta Resort is in need of a refresh. The public spaces and rooms appear dirty and run down. We were treated to an upgraded room upon check in. The carpet throughout the room was stained in areas of heavy traffic despite its dark color and unraveling in areas. The first night after returning from dinner we found 20 crickets and 2, 2"+, roaches in our living room and bathroom. It took 2 hours for someone to come by with bug spray and he didn't speak English, so he just left us with the can. This was great because we continued to experience about 5-10 crickets per night, thankfully no more roaches. We did have a problem with the air-conditioner in the room that would not cool below 80*. Even after 8 calls to the front desk over 2 days, no one came by or offered anything other than apologies that someone had not yet addressed the problem. On checkout, the front desk clerk was very apologetic for our experience, explaining that was not the norm some bugs because of the heat was expected but not 20 and refunded all 4 days resort charges. Overall, the resort has beautiful grounds and offers a more secluded experience than usual, however the insect problem and general cleanliness of the resort were sub-par. ...read more
